Price list automation: every supplier price list in your ERP — without typing a single line.
Syntact reads every price list your suppliers send — extracts articles, prices, and tiers, maps them onto your article model, checks duplicates against your article master, and writes verified prices to your ERP for approval. Your team approves — instead of typing.
The supplier raised prices weeks ago. Their price list is still sitting in the pile.
Not because your team is slow — but because every supplier sends a different format and there is no import path for PDF and Excel. So it gets typed in by hand. Every price round, every list.
One sends an 80-page PDF, the next an Excel file with its own column logic, the third pastes the price list straight into the email. A separate workaround for every format — or someone just types it all in by hand. Line item by line item.
At year-end and the start of the season, everything lands at once: hundreds of price lists within weeks. The backlog that builds up takes months to work through — and in some companies, two full-time employees do nothing but price maintenance.
The supplier raised prices, your system still shows the old cost price: the article keeps selling normally — just below cost. You find out months later at year-end close. If at all.
Entered wrong once, the price shows up in every quote, every order, and every channel. Nobody types thousands of line items without errors — and a single misplaced decimal is enough to break an entire calculation.
A hand-typed price list never costs just the typing.
Manual price maintenance has two built-in costs: the backlog that never gets caught up — and the silent errors that regularly land in cost prices, RRPs, and tiers. Both grow with every price round.
A decimal slips, a tier lands in the wrong row, packaging units get mixed up with pieces — or the list simply stays in the pile. In a backlog, neither gets noticed. The price goes wrong into calculations, the shop, and every order.
An outdated cost price doesn't trigger an error message. It just keeps selling for months — on every order, in every channel. Price errors are the most expensive errors because nobody reports them.
A hundred lists in, ten entered per week: the gap grows with every price round. By the time the last list is in the system, the first supplier has already raised prices again.
A wrong RRP doesn't just sit in the ERP — it travels to the shop, to the field sales price list, and into every quote. It gets corrected once. It gets explained to every customer who saw it.
What does typing in price lists cost you — while nobody questions it?
A conservative calculation: pure data entry time only. Margin losses from outdated cost prices and the downstream cost of typos in quotes and orders aren't even included yet.
Approve price lists instead of typing them.
No supplier portal, no mandatory format, no re-educating your suppliers: price lists keep arriving the way they arrive today. Only the data entry is taken over by AI — embedded in your existing system landscape.
PDF, Excel in any column logic, Datanorm, BMEcat, or the price list pasted straight into the email: Syntact continuously reads the inbox — nobody converts files, nobody builds mapping templates. The 40-line update just like the list with 15,000 line items.
The AI recognizes articles, cost prices, RRPs, tier prices, and conditions — and maps everything onto your article model. Every line item is checked against your article master: existing articles get new prices instead of new records, anything unclear is flagged instead of guessed.
Your team sees the finished price list as a proposal: changed prices, new articles, suspicious jumps — right next to the original source. Approve, and your ERP and PIM are current again. Days of typing become minutes of review.
Approval stays with your team: no price enters the system without a sign-off from your people. The AI proposes — humans decide.
Import tools need clean files. Syntact reads what your suppliers actually send.
Extracted rows that nobody has checked against your article model, inventory, and price logic are only half the journey. The approved price in your ERP is the goal — everything before that is an intermediate step.
PDF price list, Excel in any column logic, Datanorm, BMEcat, the list pasted into the email body: Syntact reads what your suppliers send. EDI stays where it pays off — for the 200 suppliers without EDI, Syntact takes over.
Everything is mapped onto your product groups, units, and your price logic — not onto a standard schema someone has to bend back into shape afterwards. Your data logic stays the reference, not ours.
From 10 units, from 100, from a pallet — tiers, discount groups, and conditions are recognized as structure, not stored as a line of text. Exactly the cases where import tools fail are the normal case here.
Every line item is checked against your inventory: EAN, supplier article number, description. Existing articles are updated instead of duplicated — your master data gets cleaner with every price list, not fuller.
The AI proposes — humans approve. A suspicious price jump, an unclear unit, a possible duplicate: flagged and presented for a decision, with the original source right next to it.
Syntact is not an ERP replacement and not another data silo: SAP, Dynamics, JTL, Akeneo, or Pimcore stay in the lead — Syntact is the supply layer that finally keeps them reliably current.
Your ERP/PIM stays. Syntact keeps it current.
Price lists come in from the inbox, verified prices land in your ERP and PIM — via API or standard interface, with your article master as the reference. No system migration, no additional data silo.
We build missing connectors for free — contractually guaranteed. Compatible with anything that has an API or an import format for article data.
Price List Pilot: your 3 most labor-intensive supplier price lists — automated into your ERP in 14 days.
A pilot on your real price lists, with your article model and your team — on terms where doing nothing is the most expensive option.
If your price list pipeline isn't running in production after 90 days, we keep working for free until it is.
You pay no platform license as long as the pilot isn't running in production. The risk is on us.
Price list inbox, article model mapping, and your approval workflow — set up, not sold.
90 days of direct access to the person building your use case — no ticket system, no call center.
If the pilot doesn't go into production, you only pay half the implementation.
Missing an interface to your system? We build it for free — contractually guaranteed.
The mechanism is already running — with real customers, on real data.

- What is price list automation?
- Every supplier price list — as PDF, Excel, Datanorm, BMEcat, or an email attachment — is read and structured by AI: articles, cost prices, RRPs, tier prices, conditions. The line items are mapped onto your article model, checked for duplicates against your article master, and written to your ERP or PIM for approval. Your team reviews and approves — instead of typing.
- Which formats can Syntact read?
- All the ones your suppliers actually send: PDF price lists with 3 or 300 pages, Excel in any column logic, Datanorm, BMEcat, CSV — and even the price list that was simply pasted into the email body. Structured formats are processed directly, unstructured ones are extracted by the AI. There is no mandatory format and no template anyone has to follow.
- What about tier prices, conditions, and discount groups?
- That's exactly what the extraction is built for. Tiers (from 10, from 100, from a pallet), discount groups, conditions, and promotional prices are recognized as structure and mapped onto your price logic — not stored as free text somewhere. Anything that can't be matched unambiguously lands flagged in the review queue instead of silently in the system.
- Our Excel lists have a different column layout every time. Does the mapping break?
- No — that's the difference to classic import tools. There, the import breaks as soon as the supplier moves a column. Syntact doesn't work with fixed column mappings but understands the content: what a cost price is, what a tier is, what an article number is — even if the list is structured differently than last time.
- What happens with duplicates and existing articles?
- Every line item is checked against your article master — via EAN, supplier article number, and description matching. Existing articles get the new prices, new articles are proposed for creation, uncertain cases land flagged in the review queue. Your master data grows in a controlled way instead of wildly.
- We have EDI with our biggest suppliers. Why Syntact then?
- Keep EDI — but it only pays off at high volume. Your three biggest suppliers have EDI, the other 200 send PDF and Excel — and that's exactly where the typing sits. Syntact is the automation path for the long tail: without a single supplier having to change its format.
- How does the ERP integration work?
- Via API or standard interface: SAP S/4HANA, SAP Business One, Dynamics 365 Business Central, JTL-Wawi, weclapp, and more — alongside PIM systems like Akeneo and Pimcore and shops like Shopware and Shopify. If an interface to your system is missing, we build it for free — contractually guaranteed.
- Do our suppliers have to change anything?
- No. No supplier portal, no mandatory format, no re-educating anyone: price lists keep arriving the way they arrive today — as PDF, Excel, or email. That's the point: any solution that demands discipline from 250 suppliers fails at supplier number four. Syntact adapts to your suppliers, not the other way around.
- What about data protection and our conditions?
- Syntact is operated GDPR-compliant in the EU — on request in your own cloud or on-premises. Price, condition, and article data stay in your systems, and access follows your permission model. We provide documentation for data protection officers and purchasing.
- What does automated price list import cost?
- The platform starts at €800 per month — and the license only starts once you're in production. Setup, price list inbox, and ERP/PIM integration are included in the pilot package, and the implementation is backed by the 50/50 guarantee. A single price round entered manually costs more than the platform does in a whole year.
- How fast does the pilot run?
- Within 14 days, your three most labor-intensive supplier price lists are automated into your ERP. Our solutions architect sets up the pipeline; your team provides the three lists, a master data extract, and feedback in short sessions — the pilot runs alongside day-to-day business. And the license only starts once the pipeline is in production.
Not just prices: your entire article master.
Price lists are the sharpest case — the same platform also maintains attributes, variants, and enrichment: your complete article master, continuously current in your ERP and PIM.
Automate product data managementThe next price list is definitely coming. The question is who types it in.
Minutes of review instead of days of typing — and no more cost price quietly eating your margin for months.
